Kickball for Gavin- Saturday, May 22, 2010 This little guy pictured above is Gavin Rumpl. Gavin was recently diagnosed with A.L. Lukemia. He's only 2 years old, and is one energetic little dude.
Anyway, his family approached us and asked us to host a kickball fundraising event to help out the family as they raise money for Gavin's lengthy treatment. Funds will also be used to help support the family financially as both parents have had to take extended leaves of absence from work during his treatment. So, on May 22, 2010 we're hosting a kickball tournament with all of the proceeds being donated to the Rumpl family. What: Kickball for Gavin Where: Fraser Lions Soccer Field 34540 Utica Road Fraser, MI 48026-3574 When: Saturday - May 22, 2010 1:00 PM - Games Start @ 1:30 Meet @ Shooters Beforehand Sign-Up: Call Kailyn Bartalino @ 586-942-4591 or email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it $15 for player entry (Teams will be picked randomly before the games start; thus we ask that you register for the event beforehand) Each team will consist of ten co-ed / mixed age players. If we have more than 60 people sign up for the event, we'll move the start time of the event earlier in the day. (Stay Tuned) Pizza included in entry fee and will be served during / after the games over at Shooters (Across parking lot) Drink specials will be offered too. Final Thoughts: (1) Cheerleaders are always welcome (2) "beverages" are allowed on field so long as they are not glass containers and will be disposed of properly. (Fraser Lions were kind enough to donate the space, let's keep it clean!) (3) No ringers, "unsportsman like people", or people that cannot play co-ed sports non-competitively (This is a fundraiser) (4) Cleats are recommended... Not mandatory, but helpful as field can be slippery (5) If weather is crappy (i.e. - Thunderstorms only reason why we will not play!!) we'll play on Sunday May 23, @ same-time and same-place! (6) There are no chairs or stands on the field so recommend bringing lawn chair. (7) Appropriate kickball attire recommended.... (Headbands, knee-socks, etc.) Be creative with this! (8) All ages are allowed to participate Let's get out and play some kickball!
KIM WELCH - KICKBALL CLASSIC - SUNDAY, AUGUST 2, 2009 Kim Welch was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. This event raised money for Tom and Kim to pay for monthly expenses, as both had to take time away from work in order to be at Kim's treatments. Click Here to View Event Pictures |
