League Information: We play multiple leagues at different parks around Metro-Detroit each season (seasons include Spring, Summer and Fall) and the winners of those leagues come together to play for the recently introduced Kickballerz "Wild-T’s Cup" Championship each year. For each season, all Metro-Detroit teams registered for a respective season will play a game each week for 8 weeks and are welcome and encouraged to visit their league bar after games and attend league events throughout the season such as the season kickoff party, theme week and the season-ending 'finale' party to meet other teams and enjoy the complete social experience. Kickballerz consists of an avid active group of adults who believe in the balance between social fun and competitive sport. Our players vary in age, gender, athletic ability and profession. However, we all possess a great love and spirit for the grade school game of kickball. Back in the day, life was so stress-free and careless that it was simple for one to get out and enjoy oneself. Today, we realize that the stress of everyday life takes a toll, and there is no longer that mid day ‘recess-break’ to cut out from life. Kickballerz strives to recreate those fond memories of those carefree days if only for an hour at a time. The purpose of our group is to promote some friendly competition while building some camaraderie amongst the participants. Whether you are new to the area, or have lived here your whole life, you are bound to meet some great people when you participate at a Kickballerz event. Whether it's being drilled deep into the outfield or graciously returned back up to the pitcher, you'll see that there is more strategy at work than there was when you were nine years old! Equipment is simple: bases, colorful people, and a big red playground ball! You should be aware that the game doesn't just end at the field though. You won't be surprised to find us Kickballerz all at a watering hole sharing a cocktail, beer, or soda (or many) after the game, rehashing the outcome, and looking forward to future matchups. |
